SPECIES OF NATIVE PLANTS

We source our 47 of our species for local adaptations and genetic diversty. We will never sell invasive non-natives.

WHY NATIVE PLANTS?

The horticulture industry has unleashed countless invasive plants that now choke out Arkansas’s native landscapes. Imported ornamentals like Bradford pear, privet, and bush honeysuckle spread aggressively, crowding out native species and disrupting ecosystems. These invaders don’t support local wildlife, leaving pollinators and birds without the food and shelter they need. Restoring balance starts with planting native—plants that belong here, support biodiversity, and help reclaim the Natural State from invasive takeovers.

WHY LOCAL GENETICS?

Native plants with local genetics are built to thrive in Arkansas because they’ve been growing and adapting here for generations. Their deep-rooted connection to our soil, climate, and wildlife makes them more resilient to drought, pests, and weather swings. Moreover, they’ve evolved alongside native bees, butterflies, and birds, providing the food and shelter these species need to survive. Planting local means planting stronger, healthier ecosystems.

WHY WE HAVE TO ACT NOW

Arkansas has lost over 99% of its native grasslands. Butterflies, bees, and birds are disappearing at an alarming rate. Our land is growing lifeless—choked by development, pesticides, the absence of fire, and invasive species. The vibrant spikes of Liatris and the fiery blooms of milkweed are becoming rare sights. Each year, the birds grow quieter. If we don’t act now, we’ll lose the very things that make the Natural State truly wild and beautiful.
